David Fowler serves as Vice President of Preconstruction at Pinnacle Commercial Development, where he leads the estimating process from a project’s initial inquiry through to contract execution. Since joining Pinnacle in 2017 as a junior estimator, David has played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s preconstruction strategy, transforming complex project concepts into well-defined, accurately priced solutions.
With a career that spans residential and commercial contracting, site supervision for homebuilders, and foreman-level leadership in the commercial flooring industry, David brings a practical, ground-up perspective to the estimating process. He’s a problem-solver at heart, known for his precision, curiosity, and ability to deliver creative, cost-effective solutions that balance design intent with budgetary goals.
David holds a B.A. from Rowan University and multiple associate degrees from Brookdale Community College. A lifelong learner and self-proclaimed puzzle enthusiast, he approaches each estimate as a challenge to be decoded—a skillset he credits to early lessons in music, journalism, and his father’s mantra: “Identify problem, provide solution.”

Outside the office, David is a devoted husband and father of three, known for his lightning-fast dad jokes and his deep commitment to family life. A night owl by nature, he spends evenings in his home studio above his woodshop, composing music for film and television, crafting projects, and developing patented inventions.
David once turned lightwave data from distant exoplanets into a musical composition with help from NASA and SETI. While that story—and a few others from his travels to 49 U.S. states—may never make it into a project meeting, they reflect the same sense of curiosity and creative drive that defines his leadership at Pinnacle.
