Dennis Rome is Vice President and Principal of Pinnacle Commercial Development, where he plays an integral role in overseeing all facets of the organization, from day-to-day operations and pre-construction planning to project accounting and long-term strategy. As a co-founder of Pinnacle, Dennis has spent the past 16 years helping grow the company from a three-person startup into a leading general contracting firm licensed in over 25 states, with more than 50 employees and a project footprint stretching from the East Coast to Texas.

With over 24 years of industry experience, Dennis brings a rare combination of hands-on construction knowledge and executive oversight. Before founding Pinnacle, he led the pre-construction division of a major general contractor and managed operations for a large commercial union foundation company. His leadership has helped position Pinnacle as a nimble yet powerful force in the industry, offering the precision and capacity of a large contractor while maintaining the personal touch and responsiveness of a boutique firm.

Dennis studied at NJIT and holds professional licenses in more than 25 states. He is driven by the collaborative process of turning vision into reality and finds deep fulfillment in watching diverse teams work together to bring complex projects from concept to completion. Clients benefit from Dennis’s direct involvement, wealth of experience, and strategic insight, which he uses to navigate challenges and guide projects toward successful outcomes.

Dennis is a dedicated family man who has been married to his wife, Samantha, for over 21 years. They have three children, two of whom—Nicholas and Joseph—are also part of the Pinnacle team. The family lives with their Australian Labradoodle, Cali, and enjoys everything from family trips and coaching youth sports to game nights at home.

Outside the office, Dennis is a passionate fan of the New York Giants and Yankees and a proud supporter of his local community. He was honored as the Toms River East Volunteer of the Year in 2018 and was key in earning Pinnacle recognition as one of NJBIZ’s Top 50 Up-and-Coming Workplaces.

Guided by the belief that you should always “leave this place better than how you found it,” Dennis fosters a workplace culture that values people, purpose, and progress—one where employees and clients feel like family.
